Redress Scheme vs CICA vs Civil Claim
Three different routes to compensation exist side by side. They aren't mutually exclusive in the way most people assume — except one specific choice, which we explain below.
The one choice you can't split: applying to the Redress Scheme permanently waives your right to a civil claim for the same abuse, from the moment you submit. CICA doesn't affect either of the other two routes and can be pursued alongside them.
